Sewer Damage in Glen Head, NY

This basement in Glen head, NY experienced a sewer back up which affected about 50% of this finished basement.

The pictures show the hallway which was the area just outside the bathroom where the sewer water entered the home. Fortunate for the homeowner the water traveled under the layers of the floor covering and there were minimal walls that were affected by the sewage. The bathroom was all tile and SERVPRO of Glen Cove / Jericho was able to clean the area first, then dry the area, clean it again, and then treat the area with a germicide.

The carpet was placed over padding which was placed over a glued down wood floor. All three levels of the flooring was removed and the floor was cleaned and then treated with a germicide.
