Glen Cove Storm Caused Flooding

When the double-whammy of a busted roof and rising groundwater meet inside a small commercial building in Glen Cove, immediate cleanup and restoration are needed to mitigate the damages. Our SERVPRO team arrived in large number to safely cut away and discard the hazardous hanging ceiling panels and insulation. We then turned to remove the soaked and non-salvageable sheetrock as shown in the After Photo. By working hard, and arriving as per our slogan of We're Faster To Any Size Disaster, we did limit the storm damage. Using our advanced equipment, we removed the remaining water, and with forced heat and dehumidification, dried the structure within three days. The concrete pad is porous and can crack under the stress of a too-fast drying approach.
