A college at work overheard me speaking with my wife when she called to tell me about the 2 feet of water in our basement and told me to call Chris at SERVPRO of Glen Cove / Jericho and have him take are of the disaster.

The day after Thanksgiving we noticed that our main trap in our home was letting off a very bad odor. We called our plumber who had to snake out the drain. Our plumber recommended us to call SERVPRO to help get rid of the terrible odor.

We called SERVPRO of Glen Cove / Jericho and they were able to send someone over to our home within 2 hours of our call. There was nothing for them to clean up as the problem was basically just an odor in the air. SERVPRO set up a machine called a negative air scrubber and some how vented forced the air in the home to go outside and within 12 hours the smell was gone. SERVPRO came back on Saturday and picked up their fancy machine and the house was back to normal.

We had a small water leak in our basement from an old water valve. The carpet was wet in a small area and we were advised to call SERVPRO of Glen Cove / Jericho. When the crew arrived we asked them the cost of the project and they stated it was a minimum charge of $550.00. We agreed on the price and let them proceed with the work they had to do. After drying up the carpet as much as they could they placed a fan under the carpet and let it sit blowing under the carpet through the night. They came back to our house the next afternoon and removed the fan and placed are carpet back in place and the job was done. Thank you SERVPRO for your fast response and reasonable rate of service. We had a small water damage in our basement from the ice machine supply line in our kitchen. My husband and I worked as fast as we could to get the unfinished area cleaned up but were still worried about the possibility of mold growth so we called SERVPRO of Glen Cove / Jericho. Bill one of the owners came to our home within an hour of calling him and walked around the affected area. He stated that we did an excellent job in the clean up and we should continue to run the air movers and the dehumidifier we had set up in the damaged area. He stated that there was nothing he could do at this point except add additional equipment which was probably not necessary. SERVPRO did not charge us for the visit and consultation and did not try and sell us a service that was not needed. We really appreciated his honesty and professionalism.

Our toilet supply line on the 2nd floor of our home broke when we were out for the morning and when we returned home we walked into a waterfall in our living room and had no idea what to do. We called SERVPRO of Glen Cove / Jericho and one of the Owners, Bill along with a crew of 3 men were at my home on this Saturday evening within 2 hours of calling them and then their magic started. they worked in my home until 2 AM and was able to remove all the damaged ceilings and walls and then set up these fancy floor drying machines to save our 90 year old oak floors in our living room. There machines ran for about 6 days in our home and I was amazed how well they worked. Bill stopped by our home everyday during the drying process to check on the status of the floors and to rotate the machines. This company blew us away and I would recommend them to anyone.
